I also noted my date to be set back to 2002. I thought it were due to me being forced to take out the battery from time to time when the vibez won't recover at all.

Quote by mudd1:I tried this but I cannot say whether it worked. The sudden death happened a couple of times after I tried it but maybe I just have to redo it every time the issue reappears? It might be that it happens less often now than before short circuiting the pins but I don't think I can say this with any certainty.

Defector, have the hardware chaps seen this? It strikes me that it's most likely to be completely ineffective and folk-physicsy (if you could really drain the supercap via those pins, the supercap would try and recharge an empty-ish battery, which is clearly the Wrong Thing), but if for some reason the supercap does drain, draining it through a short must surely (for an instant) send more current down those traces than they're designed for?Quote by blackozan on 2008-07-13, 09:45:Shortwire (shortcircuit) contacting pins to the battery on Vibez itself. Shortwire all three of them, but be cautious to not to breake any of them (they're hard to break btw).

Oh I see, so as a faster way instead of taking the battery out and just wait. Most probably I was so hoping for a lasting solution to this issue that I read what I wanted to read
Quote by blackozan:I am really disappointed with Trekstor's performance on Vibez. There are too many defects about the player. It's not just the death issues, sometimes the screen locks up with a full white image. Player continues to play and buttons or wheel is operating correctly.
Er, because you're the one advocating this procedure. As there are people who read this board (not me) who are in a position to find out for certain whether the procedure is (a) ineffective, (b) safe and effective, or (c) effective but dangerous, wouldn't we all like to know which of the three it is?Quote by blackozan on 2008-07-26, 22:02:I don't understand why did you use my entry as a quote for this message of yours.
