A lot of bands we like offer a free download of a song or two.

Post direct links to them here!

And Damnation is Forced Upon the Weak - The Project Hate MCMXCIX

320kbps MP3

Techno-based death metal with female vocals. Very, very good.

Techno-based? They certainly could be described as having industrial aspects, but I wouldn't have said techno. Also, it's more melodic death than amelodic. And it bears mentioning that their pieces are rarely in lydian mode, but are more commonly in a harmonic minor key. Rhythms are within the normal range that one commonly finds in Western music, but still fairly complex and interesting. Highly recommended.

That's pretty good except for that damn death metal singer. I absolutely hate that crap. Way to ruin an otherwise good song. ;)

I used to be the same way, then I listened to it a few more times and I rather like the death grunts.  THEY WILL GROW ON YOU.

Dude, have you ever had a prostate orgasm?

Incidentally, music to sodomy in 7 posts, nice. I wonder if it's a coincidence that it was by way of death metal...

Poppy (in a good way) rock group that until their recent breakup had more original members of Cake than Cake. Seriously worth checking out.

Not quite death metal...

Mark Erelli offers an "mp3 of the month."  When I saw him, he's was doing one-man acoustic stuff.  He's also done western swing.  This month, he covers Crowded House "Don't Dream It's Over"

This should take you to the mp3 of the month page:

Wubbard: Their myspace says techno <_<. Of course, I do agree that it's melodic death.
