I haven't used German language with the new firmwares so far, as many interesting features are englisch language only at the moment.

Indeed, but the new features have mostly an ON/OFF function. So I see no reason not to switch back to the german UI. The language option is in the same menue.

In this point I'm a bit "french" - I like a gadget that's speaking german  :-D

I think I prefer the word "Erweitert". That means 'extended' right?

Right.

I cannot make any more comments to the translation at the moment as I have not used the translated menus due to the many English-only features you implemented.

What's the reason for hiding untranslated menu entries instead of displaying them in English if no matching translation is available? I guess this way you would get much more feedback and translation suggestions from native speakers in this forum.

Greetings,

That would be nice for other german users. When using the german UI of the beta version you'll see what's behind the curtain and may test it.

Isn't Trekstor a German company? You would think German would be perfect. ;)

I won't even mention the fight when TrekStor wanted to remove UK English. Ooops.

Subject: MP3 ID3 V1 genre numbers
Hi!

I just noticed that 1.15 shows the genres of MP3s with ID3 V1 genre numbers just as the stored numbers, it does not translate the numbers to the corresponding genre strings. (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_ID3-Genres)

I'm not sure what version 1.04 did, as I only have very few MP3 files, but is this a bug in the beta firmware, did I mess up my MP3 tags, or is this expected behaviour?

Greetings,

  Gunter

Just a suggestion:  Clear out your V1 tags and stick with V2 only for the sake of perfect gaplessness.  ;)  Media Monkey works very well for this.

I've certainly not changed anything in this area. Maybe try and older version if you have time.

Ok, 1.04 also shows this strange behaviour, so its an older bug, an unimplemented feature, or just buggy files. (My software players parse the genres correctly, however.)

Thanks for your quick response!

My tagger, easytag, always writes the ID3 v1 genre field if there is a perfect match for the entered genre string, and only writes the genre as a string if there's no corresponding number.

That's no big deal for me, however, as I only have very few MP3s and can convert these manually as required.

I just thought it could also confuse other users.

Quick thought/suggestion: Would it be possible, when the Play/Pause button is mapped to a Quick Button like "Music Menu" or "Artist" to not have the corresponding screen start scrolling down automatically once the player goes to it? I like mapping my Play button to Artists, but I have to get the timing just right or I will end up either 1) just pausing the music (too short of a press), or 2) automatically scrolling down a few entries in the menu and have to manually scroll back to the beginning (too long of a press). I'd personally prefer that the player doesn't start scrolling down until a subsequent press of the down button is made -- What do others think?
