BTW, I'm having trouble switching my Vibez on ATM. Can't do it with the power button but only by connecting the player to a computer. Can that be related to the new firmware? Anyone else had this?

Could possibly be your Vibez fell asleep while locked.  I know that happen to me at least twice before I realized i just had to tap power-menu and it would wake right up.  At first I was going to so far as to take off the back cover and resetting!  :-/   Worth a shot for next time.

Many thanks Defector and all who had a hand in the updates.  And i thought I couldn't love my Vibez any more than I already did.

One question about v1.15, what exactly does scroll nudge mean/do?

I was thinking it meant on very long lines of text scrolling across your screen you can center push to force the scrolling along a little faster. As fast as you can push?

I tried on the "now playing ->about"  area where a 2 hour long DJ set has tracks listed in the comment section of the ID3 tag, but nothing happened, so I'm not sure what the "relevant screens" are.

Same here. Can't figure it out. Turned it on but any time I click center it either selects, or changes the view.

Sorry guys. This feature is only active on the music selection menu and the now playing menu.

Ah, cool.  Found a beneficial side effect:  In the Menu Library menu, tapping the center button doesn't select anything, but holding it still gives the Enqueue/Append/Replace/Insert context menu.  This helps avoid the accidental releasing of the button too soon thus replacing the running playlist when you didn't want to scenario.

Yes, that was the setting I tried which changed the behaviour. At first, I had misunderstood how Scroll Nudge was supposed to work - but I love it! :-)  Both the Scroll Nudge itself as well as that I cannot accidentially overwrite my Now Playing list any more using Wheel Center, but I'm still able to open the Insert/Append/... context menu this way. Avoids human operation errors and is extremely convenient. :-)

I thought mine did this also. Well it did last night after I installed the new firmware. Then this morning after an auto power off I couldn't start the device up again, so a reset was needed. Everything is golden again, but the center key operates like it used to, i.e center push in Library menu DOES select. Any comment on that defector? Why would the center key not select in a menu last night, but a reset (same settings configured) later and it does now select. Plus it still performs the nudge in now playing.

I allowed another auto power off to occur, and no problem was experienced.

A request: Can nudging also function in now playing about? i.e where one sees the full contents of the ID3 tag. It currently take you back up the menu.

This is a repeating issue. If the device is locked and it auto powers off I'm unable to turn it back on with out a reset. Doesn't occur if the interface isn't locked.
Anybody else experiencing this this v1.15?

Sorry Just read Post ID 12434 and saw other people are experiencing this sleep while locked issue.

I just set up the new firmware. I agree to the others: Great work!

Using the setup programm never made problems to me. The reported resets to factory settings and formatting the drive maybe no malfunction and/or strange behaviour - please pay attention whether resetting and formatting is activated via checkbox in update wizzard program.

The new features in the "Advance" section of the settings menu work fine. I think these items will be available in the other languages after beta? Now I'm going from german to english language and back after changes. BTW the german "Vorgerückt" doesn't really fit. Better would be "Weiteres" or on more "Extras".

I haven't used German language with the new firmwares so far, as many interesting features are englisch language only at the moment.

However, I agree, "Vorgerückt" is not even close to a correct translation in this context. "Extras" would be ok, similar menus are also often called "Erweitert" or even more common "Erweiterte Einstellungen", which however is probably a bit long.

Subject: Re: Custom Color Schemes
Defector, is there a way to remove custom color schemes from the Vibez' "Color Scheme" menu? I put a couple new schemes on my player to test them out, but I've determined I no longer want them there -- and removing the actual *.scm files has no effect on the menu list. If a "delete scheme" option isn't currently available, would you consider adding one?

EDIT: Oh wait, got it...I had to delete the *.scm files from the .private/schemes folder. When I wrote the above, I had only gotten rid of the *.scm files I'd put elsewhere on the player's drive...

I think I prefer the word "Erweitert". That means 'extended' right?

And all you guys and gals out there please do comment on any wrong/wierd translations you see.
