Yeah RubenNYC,
While I really like the Vibez, I'm very frustrated with the lack of a firmware update and lack of features I have grown so dependant on w/Karma.
I've actually gone back to using the Karma more and the Vibez less.

Damn that Karma was good!

Wait, so does this mean that you guys have gone a year without another firmware update? That's pretty freakin weak.

Agreed. And correct me if I'm wrong...but wasn't the first firmware "upgrade" just a copy of the version shipped on every player? :-/

No correction needed. Exactly what it was. So, to wit, we have never had a firmware upgrade.

Ok, I couldn't wait.  A couple of quick observations after spending all of about 20 minutes with 1.11:

- The upgrade process was far too quick and painless.  My brain wasn't ready for that.  :P
- The full screen display is almost perfect.  I'm thinking the track title should probably be displayed in a corner of the screen, rather than left-justified, centered vertically.  Or maybe it shouldn't appear at all?  This is purely aesthetics, and others may disagree.
- My top Quick Button was preserved ok (I had it on Equalizer), but my bottom Quick Button was changed from Shuffle to Intro Scan, which I never ever ever use.
- Being able to Append/Insert/Enqueue from "Music Library" is a thing of beauty.
- USB Transfer mode option is also beautiful.  I haven't tested it, yet, but I'm very happy to see it there, including the "Charge Only" option.
- The menu lag when playing Ogg tracks is still there but noticably improved.
- The one-hand, tap-tap lock works great, too!
- Confirmed that saving a playlist with Repeat enabled no longer hangs the player.

I'll post more comments later as I've had more time to play with it.  But, so far I see 1.11 as a significant improvement.

Thank you!!!!

EDIT: Found a minor bug:  The headphone detection does not pause the player if it's locked.  This is true even if the Play/Pause is set to "Allow" in Lock Setup.  Unlocked it works fine.

Ruben,

Does being able to Append/Insert/Enqueue from "Music Library" solve the playlist on the fly issue?

I'm totally encouraged by this!
Right On Trekstor/defector.
Thanks!

Not sure exactly which issue you mean, but here's how it works.

Normally, if you go into Music Library and choose music from there, whatever you choose replaces whatever is currently in your Now Playing list.  This new feature gives you the option to Enqueue, Append or Insert your selection to the Now Playing list, and leaves you exactly where you are in the library.  What this solves is the problem where you want to add a bunch of tracks to your Now Playing list from all over your Music Library without having to drill down through your library after each selection.

You can still do this from Now Playing, too, but after each selection you get taken back to the Now Playing screen.

Does that make sense?

Installed 1.11 ............... It rocks , WOW what a list of improvements ,the only thing wrong i have found is the headphone removal issue.

To explain the append/insert change a little better - when a song is playing if you go back to main menu and hold right whilst highlighting music library it take you to the album currently playing , from here you can navigate around backwards and forwards and when you want to add a song hold right on it and a menu appears with insert/append etc in it - quality!

Thankyou Trekstor, cant wait for finished version!

Ah, I was looking for that.  That isn't exactly what I was describing, that's another new feature.  Minor correction:  when you hold down the right arrow on the wheel while Music Library is highlighted, it takes you back to where you last left off in the Music Library, not necessarily the current album.  Just the way I like it.

Thank you, thank you...

The playlist thing is good - I don't see anything about Creating a playlist independant of what's playing but I can make this work for me.

Makes my Thanksgiving!

I concur, db-i.  :D

Just did some quick behavior checking on the new Insert and Append context menu options:

- Insert: Adds the selected tracks immediately after the track that is currently playing.
- Enqueue: The first selection you Enqueue gets added immediately after the track that is currently playing.  Subsequent Enqueues get added immediately after the last thing you Enqueued.

If you want to Insert tracks somewhere else in the Now Playing list, you have to go through the Now Playing menu.
