I thought someone was slamming the stootsi guy pretty hard a month or so ago? I mean, you know, figuratively, as being a bad ebay karma person or some such.

That would be me.  Stootsi is the same as "consumersolutions" on ebay.   Do a www.toolhaus.org    search for consumersolutions and you can read the problems that others have had.  I found them to be dishonest and they refused to deliver the product as they described it.   Don't spend more with them than you want to lose and do not expect to receive a refund from them.

If I were going to get a refurbed Karma, I'd get it from Karmalimbo.com - That seems like the best bet.

He's a good guy and an engineer, which helps. The two used boards I bought off him, he sent a thorough checklist he puts them through first. They're doing fine so far, having revived 2 different players.
 He also builds a true 60gig hybrid.
 Jim does karmas in his spare time, and charges nothing for labor, so if you're in a hurry..........

Yep, yep. I ordered a 60 gigwith external battery frm him today. I can't wait!

...although I know I will be waiting....

I have a refurb Nitrus on the way from an Amazon guy this week to tide me over.  :-p
