Since this is basically an iPod accessories thread,
I found this battery-pack thing on the clearance rack at FYE for $20 (marked down from $70) http://www.cellboost.com/product_ipod_vpst.htm
It's called iRecharge and it's a lifesaver for playing videos or when you can't get to a charger.
Pros:
it powers and charges the iPod
it includes a leather play-thru enclosure to prevent scratches
also comes with one of those disposable batteries like they make for cellphones
Cons:
it's way too big to carry on your belt or in a pocket (with the iPod, it's nearly the same size and weight as two Karmas stacked vertically)
the dock connector on the bottom of the unit only allows for recharging (no audio or data connection)
