Subject: Happy 2nd Birthday vibez beta 1.19. Is there hope for the future?
Yeah, I do think this deserves its own thread. 1.19 was far and away the best vibez firmware revision to make it out into the wild, albeit as a beta. (1.21 was the last official supported firmware, but a significant downgrade in features from 1.19).
And because it's been two years since TrekStor management pulled the plug on the public betas and over a year since they announced that the vibez F had been canceled.
I want to stay positive and hold out hope that the empeg code base will rise again. But I'm dreading the day when both my vibez and Karma die.
So, if it turns out that there will be no more empeg-based players like the vibez & Karma, where do we go from here?
