Subject: Please help! I may have accidentally triggered "France mode" and now I have no real volume!
So here's the story. I put my Vibez in my bag as I was packing to go on a plane. Once I was on the plane, I took the Vibez out of the side pocket and it said something on the screen like "updater mode." It wasn't connected to anything at all. I hit the power button, it turned off like normal, so I didn't think much of it. Then, I turned it back on, and even at max volume (30) I am barely getting any sound. I remember all of the discussions about staying far away from saying yes to the question of whether or not I live in France, and I'm wondering if that function could have accidentally been triggered somehow.
Now I can't seem to turn it off. I've formatted my Vibez through both the firmware updater tool (I've tried going back and forth from FW 1.19b to 1.21) and through the features --> maintenance mode. I get asked what language I want, but I'm not being asked if I live in France. I even tried leaving the battery out and hitting the reset button a whole bunch of times, and nothing. Any suggestions, please? I'm dying without real volume. There's no way I'm going to be able to hear this when I exercise over the other sounds if this is as loud as it's going to get.
