Subject: Power charger spec
Hi - I have seen a cheap "universal" AC adaptor in a local shop but need to know the Karma specs - I could do with a spare at work - I have searched the forums and found it is 2000 mA and 5v but not pin diametre and polarity.

Plus does it matter if the power is a bit higher (say 3A) or lower (2A)

Here's a scan of the AC adapter:

The diameter of the plug is 2 mm - it should have a yellow tip in the "universal" adapters.

It doesn't matter if the amperage of the adapter is higher - the important thing is the voltage.  According to this, the adapter is overspec, so you could get one with as low as 1.5A.

many thans for that - I never thought of looking at the adaptor for the polarity!
