Subject: question about Rio DJ
Hi,

i have a Rio Karma and it's still fairly new to me, so excuse me if this is kind of a stupid question:

i like to use the DJ function to randomly sort my entire collection. Is there a way to save this sort as a playlist? In other words, if i turn the rio off, i can come back to where i was in the sort, but if i decide instead to use the menu to play an album, i can't find any way to get back to my random sort (other than doing another random sort). i'd like to not do another random sort as i'd like to make it through the entire collection. Do you know what i mean?

Thanks for your help!

Click the scroll wheel after generating the random mix.  This will bring up the Now Playing menu.  The last option is Make Playlist, which will, well, make a playlist of the songs that you can play later.

Another option that's probably more what you were looking for is to make a bookmark of your random mix, which will save the playlist and your location in it.  It's the Bookmarks option on the Main Menu.

^ What he said.  A bookmark is the way to go, so you can get back where you left off.  IIRC, it might even remember what EQ settings you were using, too.

That little player was so way ahead of its time.

Thanks, that's exactly what i wanted. i didn't realize making a bookmark would save the playlist.

One thing, though, the first time i tried it, i created the bookmark (or thought i did), went and played some other music albums, returned to the bookmark and it brought me to the first song in the playlist instead of where i left off. Did i do something wrong?

Thanks for all your help!

When playing you list, go back to the bookmark option and then choose "update"
If I had a signature, think I'd share it with YOU?
