Subject: Last Vibez Standing
Well, my vibez is still plodding along.  The aneurism in its vibez brain has not yet popped.  Anyone else still have a working vibez?

Mine is still working very well and I use it every day. Just loaded a podcast episode a few minutes ago. I have the dock, a Noreve case and a spare battery (I also have the FM card but never use that feature).

I hope to keep using it for some time since nothing else fits my needs as well.

My 12Gb is still working fine. Though I don't get to use it as much as I would like.

I use mine almost daily; I think it locks up about twice a week on average, but it's been a long time since it hasn't bounced right back after a battery removal.

Mine's still good, though I use it less than I used to for fear of hastening their extinction.

P.S. Thanks for starting this thread; Riovolution.org has been a mime factory lately (though it's really not surprising given the state of first Rio and now the Vibez).

No problems so far with my 12GB vibez. No lock-ups when charging in docking station or at the pc with or without copying files to it. But I am a bit more cautiously when I listen music with it.

Update 15th of June 2009: Just stuck in "Upgrader" mode when switching on - uuh  8-(.
Fingers crossed I made a firmware update and everything seems to be ok. Checkdisk doesn't report any bad sectors - happy again  :-)

My 12GB Vibez still behaves very fine. Used it for 1 1/2 years almost daily. It has to compete with a Sony NW-A806 for some time, and I love both: The Sony has a nice UI and flawless video playback, the Vibez has gapless playback and more capacity. Both sound excellent, with the Vibez somewhat more distinct, and, of course, with better EQ.

My 12GB Vibez is still alive and used frequently without any problems - no crashes, lockups or other wierd behaviour whatsoever. I hope it stays this way for the forseeable future. :)
In fact, I would not know what alternative to buy...

Yeah, I'm also still using my 12GB vibez.  I don't know what I'll do when it dies.

Last time I read this I wanted to gloat that mine was still up and running after being used daily for over 18 months.
And then last week it just went...
I'm gutted!
Anyone tried repairing theirs?

Mh, some weeks ago it just started suddenly turning off while running on battery power... I currently hope the old battery is the culprit and will try to replace it. It's nearly 3 years old, which is pretty much for a LiIon battery, I just hope the replacement batteries - if there are still some available - are still in a usable condition and not to old themselves...
