Dear Defector and the entire Cambridge Team,

I have no idea what the news about the vibez means for you.  I hope and trust that you are still employed and working on great stuff.

But this letter is simply to say, Thank you.  By all your hard work, open dialog and fantastic firmware updates, I own what is far and away the best DAP on the planet.  And you restored my faith in humanity.

Sincerely,
Ruben

ps. Please, keep the code alive.

Hi Guys,

Don't worry the Cambridge team is still here! We're working very hard on the next great product.

The vibez was immensely important to me and as you probably know every line of code that you enjoy post 1.04 was written by yours truly. So to say that I'm slightly annoyed the vibez isn't happening is an understatement.

I hope you guys enjoy the next big product coming out of this office!

Defector

Dear Defector and the Cambridge Team,

I would like to thank you, too. You have done great work to our Vibez and I think there had never been such a great team listening to the wishes from us - the users.

I hope my Vibez will live a few more years and I may enjoy the great software that is running on it.

Very glad to hear you're still hanging in there, in whatever capacity that may now be...

Would the "next big project" happen to be a portable audio player <holds breath>? I'm sure you have all sorts of non-disclosure agreements and whatnot, but any hint of a timeline?

Thanks Defector and everyone else.
Thanks for everything. Thanks especially for making every other player out there pale in comparo to the Vibez. lol

thanks.  it's heartwarming that there are people out there that understand the need for quality and take pride in their work.

Also intrigued about the next product - a portable DAP perchance?  netbook+DAP?
best of luck

Defector, it's great to hear you've not been laid off!

Thanks a lot for the great firmware release 1.19, it's a real pleasure to use it on the Vibez.

The only drawback is that I'll get into real trouble if my Vibez dies one day, I do not know of any replacement which matches the Vibez in the sound quality and features I like... :-(

Greetings,

  Gunter

Thanks Defector,
for helping me to keep faith.

My Vibez is still working - mostly. It will crash (turn off) sometimes - but restarts okay.
I fear it will crash for good soon and will need to be replaced.

Please can you give any indication of when "next big product" might surface? A ballpark - months, year, longer?
I don't want to buy anything else. Give me the "next biggie".
