WTB: charger for rio karma

Subject: WTB: charger for rio karma
Call it whatever you like - power cord, a/c adapter, charger - I need one. If you have an extra one lying around and you're willing to part with it, email me. Unfortunately, I'm constrained by the supreme-ruler of my house (read: my mom) and I can't pay over $15 (which is approx. what the 'official' site charges sans shipping). Plus shipping with the cheapest possible option (USPS), I can't go over $20. Ebay and all the usual venues have failed me so I'm turning to this community since it seems that you guys have more karma-related things than the rest of the world.

If no one has one, can someone suggest an viable alternative? I did read the FAQs in the Karma forum, before anyone directs me there but it was unhelpful in that it didn't name a specific product for replacing the object of discussion.

regin, if LL is unable to sell you one you could look into a Palm Tungsten E AC charger (here is one available on ebay) as I have used it interchangeably with my Karma but it only provides 5 volts, 1 amp, rather than the 5 and 2 that the Karma AC charger puts out.  Someone on here with better electrical understanding than I will be able to tell if that will make a difference in charging the unit (I have had no problems using one of these), but I cannot guarantee your results.

Thank you everyone. I've managed to get a charger and my karma is alive again! :)

now if I could only figure out how to lock/close this thing...

Sweet Jesus, don't go there. Just learn to load it, all the tweaks and listening pleasure, that's what it's for.



Or do you mean physically put the player together? There's tutes all over the place for that.
