Subject: Rio Karma/Swollen Battery/Changing battery
I've had my Karma for well over 4 years and just recently have had problems. I found that it was "coming apart" and wouldn't work properly. When I disassembled it I found that the battery was swollen, and as soon as the pressure was relieved it was working like day one. I've ordered the new battery, have done some research about the leads and will anticipate the arrival of the new battery.
My question...
I am going to assume that I will have to cut the red/black leads from the sister board and attach them to the new battery leads? I know that the black/black lead is the thermosist and just needs retaped to the battery side. Is my assumption correct? Has anyone else changed the battery and willing to divulge the process?
Thanks in advance for the help!
